Our members serve our communities and state by providing information and education to legislators, municipalities, businesses and end users and by funding charities serving the people of New Jersey.

New Jersey Wireless Association participated in the NJ League of Municipalities Annual Conference with a booth on the show floor of the Atlantic City Convention Center. The conference provides our members an opportunity to discuss industry issues with over 16,000 elected officials and staff from local, county and state government entities.

A check in the amount of $10,000.00 was presented to Autism Speaks at the 2011 New Jersey Wireless Holiday Party. This year's Holiday Party was again held at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center on November 16, 2011 during the Annual Conference of the New Jersey League of Municipalities.

New Jersey Wireless Association and InSite Wireless sponsored a panel discussion of DAS issues and opportunities. The panel was held on November 16, 2011 at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center during the Annual Conference of the New Jersey League of Municipalities and the Annual NJWA Holiday Party.

Rob Ivanoff gave a presentation of DAS technology and issues in deployment and Jeff Just provided information on InSite Wireless systems technology.
The panel then discussed the following issues:
* This industry has changed dramatically over the past few years with explosive growth in data usage, new spectrums, new carriers. How does DAS accommodate growth and change?
* Are there any Federal regulatory issues the industry still needs to be concerned about?
* Is New Jersey a Certified State?
* How do you determine what is more cost effective, assuming both are available for the same geography, DAS or macro cells
   ** Cost Analysis - DAS vs. Macro
   ** When is DAS cheaper?
   ** When is Macro cheaper
* How are vendors and system providers addressing the issues of
   ** Small cells
   ** Eliminating need for DAS Hotels
InSite Wireless then provided a tour of the DAS system installed in the Atlantic City Convention Center.
